Identify the Problem

- The Lamp doesn’t turn on – You have (2) options in this case. Most of the time, it doesn’t turn on because of the wrought light. All you need to do in this case is to loosen it and replace it with a new one. But if your lightbulb is new but still doesn’t turn on, proceed to plan B, which is to replace the socket. -Remove the socket shell.
-Gently pull out the two wires that are hidden in the shell base.
-Unscrew the wires and replace the old socket of your lamp with a new one.
-Place the new socket, secure by screwing the leads and cover it down with the shell cap.
-Put back the harp lamp base, the light bulb, and the cover or shade.
- Light switch doesn’t work – In this case, you hear the clicking sound, but it feels weird because the light doesn’t turn on. To save your lamp, you must replace the switch immediately before it causes a fire.
- Rusty or Worn out plug - The reason why your Lamp stops working could be because of the worn-out plug. Without you knowing, it may be rusted or damaged inside. What you need to do is to replace it with a new one. Start by unscrewing the plug cover and replace it with a new one. Separate and screw the wire and the cover. And voila! It’s good as new.
